We wanted a place to stay on the way up the coast of Maine. The location was convenient for us to get up the next morning and head to the Nubble Light and then on to Ogunquit. It was easy to find and get in and out of from the busy road. The room was clean and the breakfast was very good considering it was a cold breakfast but there were many choices and very good coffee. We took a coffee and muffin to go after eating our breakfast on the table outside the office.

My wife and I have stayed here many times and have always loved it. Same with our most recent stay, although it appears prices have gone up. There are some new built hotels now in the area so there are many other choices. The rate used to be better than other nearby hotels, now is as much or more. Maybe the price increase was due to Covid. We shall see what the future brings to this property. The gal who checked us in was very welcoming. We always enjoy our stay!

Would have liked to have bed tidied up at least a couple of times during my 5-night stay and the carpet vacuumed at least once. But I love you guys nonetheless and am about to make my reservation for next year.

I’d recommend avoiding this place unless they get new mattresses. Hardly slept and husband woke with a backache. Standing in the room you could see the sag in the mattress. On the plus side the staff were friendly and helpful.

Location was great. We weren’t there very long as we arrived extremely late and had to leave early as the property did not extend the check out time.
NEGATIVE:
The room was dusty and unclean. I let the property know ahead of leaving this review. The previous guest had left a pair of dirty pants on the dining room table, chips behind the microwave. It had not been clean after they left.

The place was clean and the staff friendly. But you check in for a night’s rest and the bed was horrible. Hardly slept and husband woke with a serious backache. For that it seemed horribly overpriced.

Had to change rooms because of unpleasant odor. AC unit was inefficient and very loud.
OTHER SUGGESTIONS:
Replace AC units with new units that don’t rattle and hum so loudly. Make sure you eliminate the stink of weed from Room 3 or eliminate the “no smoking of any substances” from your rules list. Fortunately, you had another room available for us. Otherwise, cute as a button, friendly staff and breakfast offerings were a pleasant surprise.
