The room was nice and clean, but the motel is located somewhat close to the highway. The morning traffic starts about 6 AM, and my husband was unable to sleep after that. The shower in the bathroom is quite small, just big enough for me who wears a ladies size 6/8. My XL husband was very cramped while trying to take a shower.
Rooms were clean and spacious. Location is convenient to Downtown Portsmouth. Breakfast was out outstanding in quality and variety.
POSITIVE:
Well maintained property, very cute & cozy. Our suite was comfortable and nicely furnished. Very clean. The breakfast exceeded expectations with scrambled eggs, Maine hash browns, and a homemade marbled Bundt cake.

Should note online that room 1 is noisy with road noise… otherwise nice place..

Super clean, spacious, updated drive up motel. It was a beautiful setting clean great hostess. Had a lot of amenities and small kitchenette. Good breakfast, nice pool, easy to find and location was great.
The room was clean and had everything we needed although it was smelling strangely. Breakfast was good and staff was helpful and friendly. But it was too expensive for what it was.
Not a fan. Over priced .

Ive stayed here several times over the years, its small out of the way, but I like the it there. The only issue lately is the price, they have increased the cost making it level or more than some of newer hotels in the area.

Very cute place well maintained, spacious, staff very polite. Cant say enough postive things about our stay except we wish we could have stayed longer
If you’re looking for anything beyond simple basics, this place is not for you. We got a good deal during fall foliage so we were satisfied. The pros: the staff was very nice and the breakfasts were quite good…nice variety of foods and the coffee was excellent. Even though we were close to the road, the room was quiet (the a/c unit was noisy so we turned it off) and the bed was very comfy. We appreciated having a small refrigerator in the room. Overall, the room was clean except under the bed when I had to get something that rolled under. The cons: the room was very tiny…it looked considerably larger in the photos. There was no housekeeping during our stay other than the one time in four days when they asked if we needed more towels or garbage pick-up. When we arrived (early evening), our toiled was clogged. They didn’t fix it until the next morning. Would we return? Possibly for the right deal, but we would check around for other places first.

If you’re looking for luxury, this place is not for you. We got a cheap deal otherwise I would not have been happy. The pros: it was mostly clean (just don’t look under the bed), the bed was very comfy, it was quiet even though we were next to the road, the breakfast was very good…nice selection and excellent coffee and the staff was very friendly. The cons: the room was very tiny and rooms were not serviced (once in the 3 days we were there they knocked to see if we needed towels or garbage pick-up). Otherwise, all the basics were covered. If you get a good deal and you don’t need fancy y you’d be good to go.

Very clean and spacious 50’s era motel. We really enjoyed our stay. Friendly service and convenient to Portsmouth. The breakfast was amazing! We were expecting a grab and go, but were treated to a full spread, high quality and wide variety. Great value, would stay again.

Definitely not extravagant but an affordable, charming place to stay. Door and floor creaked loudly. Bed and Pillows were very comfortable. Loved the yard / gazebo to enjoy my breakfast.
Team was very friendly and hospitable.
I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice for our first nite on our way to our Maine vacation, but the bed/mattress was bad. Sagged horribly to the middle. My back and neck were sore by the morning.

Room was updated and decorated very well. It was quite comfortable, clean and roomy. The breakfast was wonderful. One of the best “continental “ breakfasts I’ve had. Staff was great!
NEGATIVE:
I was in the basement room, which was a nice room, but could hear the people walking around in the room above.
