Our stay was quite the experience, toilet overflowed first night, air conditioning unit was filthy, no janitorial staff or mop, bed on wheels moved every time we got on it but location of hotel was great. Only one washer and dryer for 30 rooms?

POSITIVE:
Nothing, it was filthy, antiquated, just awful all around, the shower was so small that my husband did not fit in it he is 6’2’ and 206 not overweight….he could not take a shower, we found rubbish under the bed while bending down putting my shoes on. This crappy hole was not worth $100.00 per night and we paid $279.00 for that awful stay, you should be ashamed of yourself to rent something like that just awful

Fan in the room was covered in dust; we took it apart and cleaned it bc dust particles were flying around the room when turned on. Otherwise, lovely amenities and staff.

Comfortable and pleasant stay in a convenient location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have laundry facilities. It’s just across the river from Portsmouth historic downtown and right off the highway, yet quiet.

It is conveniently on Route 1 so it is a bit noisy when you are in the nice pool but the lovely Landscaping helps decrease the noise a bit. The rooms are very clean and updated and we enjoyed our back porch on the quiet Street behind the in in. The breakfast was very generous and convenient. Staff was very pleasant and we know they were shortstaffed

Staff was great, breakfast was also. We were in a cabin which was VERY SMALL, and though it was clean, the entire time we occupied the cabin it was damp. We never opened any windows. There should be more walkway lighting since the paths are uneven. If at all possible, create more outdoor seating. The breakfast is great but eating space is scarce.
OTHER SUGGESTIONS:
Start the air conditioners in rooms prior to guest arrival on hot days in August. Make the beds including the top sheet. Sleeping with no sheet (just a duvet) leaves too much to the imagination, like when was the last time the duvet was washed? Include a dairy or gluten free option at breakfast. You can ask hotel guest if they need this type of option in advance when emailing the pre-registration form.

Breakfast was a touch above continental with slice cheese and Canadian bacon. Room was comfortable and roomy. The vending facilities were nearby and washer a dryer for convenience was in there. The ice from the ice machine was perfect.

A great place for a short stay. It is very close to Portsmouth, NH and area beaches in Maine. Highly recommend.
